For most owners the thought of leaving their dog at home just isn’t an option as they are part of the family. Not only is it more enjoyable, but also practical to take your dog away on holiday with you.

At Trewince we understand this, and many of our lodges welcome pets for a fee of £30.00 per dog per stay (maximum 2 dogs payable at time of booking). There is no need to pay for kennels, or to ask friends or relatives to take care of them whilst you’re away.

Cornwall is extremely dog friendly, with many coastal paths, woodland walks and beaches, so bringing the dog along will give you even more great reasons to get out and enjoy the coast and countryside.

The majority of Cornwall’s beaches are dog friendly all year, but some beaches do impose a dog ban over the summer months so please do check before your arrival. Many of Cornwall’s pubs, cafes and attractions welcome dogs also, but again please do check beforehand.

Whilst we do welcome well behaved dogs on site we politely ask that you observe the following:

• Do not leave your dog unattended for long periods of time
• Do not allow your dog up onto the furniture or beds within the lodge
• Do not allow your dog to damage any property within the lodge
• Keep your dog on a lead whilst out on site at all times
• Please pick up after your dog (There is a dog waste bin situated along the walk to the Quay)

Cliff Dangers

Popular coastal paths and headland walks present great opportunities for walking and enjoying the scenery. However there is always danger from coastal erosion, falling rocks and from the risks of falling over the cliff edges (we advise to keep dogs on a lead). The South West Coast Path is maintained to reduce these risks but every care should be taken especially in poor visibility. The Coastguard service should be alerted in the event of danger to life – call 999 (or 112 from a mobile) and ask for Coastguard or Ambulance as required.
