Local Area

Our unique position in the South West of the UK means that Cornwall can be classified as having a sub-tropical climate. The Eden Project helped put Cornwall on the global stage a few years ago, but the county has been famous for unique gardens and vegetation for much longer.

Cornwall has more coastline than anywhere else in England. It’s also amongst the most breathtaking. You are never more than an hour from the sea. Cornwall has both Lands End and the most southerly point in the UK, Lizard Point.

In particular, the Roseland is designated a Heritage Coast and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with golden sandy beaches, secluded coves and miles of stunning coastal paths.
