The second series of the eighteenth century set drama got under way 2 weeks ago, attracting more than five million viewers and huge critical acclaim.

A further nine new episodes have been written by Debbie Horsfield, who has adapted the renowned books of Winston Graham. Set in 1794 and Ross Poldark, played by Turner, is faced with new family, new loves and new battles, as the French revolution casts a great shadow over life in Cornwall.
